I have loved cars for as long as I can remember. 6 year old me never crashed my toy cars. I only collected, arranged, cleaned & admired them. My scale model collection
is now a staggering 250+ cars that I have gathered over a period of years, all parked neatly in a showcase in my living room.
I first test drove a Mahindra Thar in 2012 at an automobile expo, it was love at first drive. I experienced a small obstacle course with a pro Mahindra driver & the
machine’s capability left me speechless. On that day, I decided that my first car will have to be a Thar.
In the 10 years from 2012 to 2022, I have had many moments of intense urge to buy my own Thar. I never moved forward on the purchase because I was taught to do the
“need v/s want” analysis before making a big purchase decision. This never allowed me to buy a car because it always landed as a “want” & never as a “need”. In October
2022, Thar was still a “want” – but I decided to listen to my heart & not to my head. And there I was – driving a Thar home!
Thar has been a machine that has caught my fancy for long, a vehicle that had me turn my head every time it drove past me on the road. It brought a smile on my face.
Thar felt like an obvious choice for me. Thar loves adventure, it makes its own roads, it loves the unknown & unexplored, it loves the elements of nature, it loves to make memories. More than all of the above, it pushes you to live a little more! And this is exactly how I am, I love all of the above. That makes Thar my perfect companion.
I joined the awesome Terrain Conquerors Group on the day I got my Thar. This community has added so much to my Thar ownership experience. This community is not just a place to have fun together; but it really engages likeminded folks in meaningful discussions around Thar, automobile, adventure & exploration. I have seen incredible support being extended to members of the community. Vishal Sharma really is a pillar of strength for this community. I have gone on drives with this community, made new friends & always received unwavering support from this community – I am always grateful.
